TNA

Okay some of you who are reading this blog may be wondering why would I be mentioning TNA but lets look at it this way TNA may be in bad shape and beyond repair buts lets not forget it did have its good moments. I still watch TNA because I believe it can get better. However I enjoy TNA when it was at its peak which was the Mid 2005 - 2009. That was the year that had the best talent, awesome matches, and great moments. Here's a tribute to show you what i'm talking about.

The Stars Who Made TNA

Aj Styles

There certainly would not have been a TNA without AJ Styles he was the Face of the Company and the Phenomenal One. He was the first home grown talent and was there from the time the company started in 2002 until 2014. During his run he was first wrestler to transition from the X-Division to being a 3-time NWA Champion. He will forever be the guy that put TNA on the map.

Christopher Daniels

When you have a guy like AJ Styles who's the Face of the Company you need a guy who can compliment his style and be a constant adversary. That guy was Christopher Daniels like Aj he was another home grown superstar since 2002 until 2014 and he had a lot of memorable matches with Aj for the X-Division title. Not only he had matches with Aj but he was also part of the Tag Team called Triple X with Elix Skipper and Loki. His famous Cage match against America's Most Wanted is still talked about to this day.

Kurt Angle

Over the years TNA made numerous investments on past stars from WWE, WCW, and  ECW.  Their best investment is Kurt Angle. Kurt debuted in 2006 and from that time on it felt like he has been with the company forever. TNA did a good job as far as molding him into there own because he was himself. He had memorable feuds with guys like Jeff Jarrett, Sting and most notably Samoa Joe.

Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe came in with a purpose to be number 1 and he did by destroying everybody on the roster.  He even manage to capture the X-Division Title during his first year in the company. His character evolved over the years from the Samoan Submission Machine to his Nation of Violence and back to his Samoan Submission Machine gimmick. He is now a member of "Beat Down Clan".

Bobby Roode

Bobby Roode is a great technical wrestler and was definitely a standout when he was a part of Team Canada. The first time I saw Roode in 2007 with the Wallstreet Gimmick I thought he wouldn't make it. As his character evolved a little bit I started to become interested in him. I definitely enjoyed the Beer Money tag team they were ahead of their time and was a step up from America's Most wanted. He had a very good run with the TNA World Title and he was definitely the "It Factor of TNA".

Austin Aries

Like Bobby Roode I would've never believe that Austin Aries would become TNA World Champion. When he returned in 2012 he won the X-Division title and he finally got the chance to be on the top and had a decent run with the title. He became the first X-Division star to come up with "Plan C" which was vacating the title and going for the World Title. He manage to do that when he ended Bobby Roode's lengthy reign as champion.

Top 3 Greatest TNA Debuts

2. Hulk Hogan

Top 5 Greatest TNA Matches

1. Triple X vs America's Most Wanted

Six Sided Steel Cage Match

Turning Point 2004

This without a doubt is the greatest TNA match and one of the greatest Cage Matches in Wrestling. These two teams had a long feud and this match was the turning point in the feud. The stipulation in this match was that whichever team lost they would have to split. A lot was on the line in this match and these two teams gave there Blood, Sweat, and Tears in this match. The best moment in this match was when Elix Skipper walked on top of the ledge of the Steel Cage and performed a Scissor Kicked on Chris Harris. It was the most spectacular move ever. In the end AMW got the upper hand and manage to win the match splitting up Triple X. However they still left a huge mark on TNA forever. I rate this match 10 out of 10

2. The First Ultimate X Match

The Ultimate X was a unique concept and was ahead its time. The rules were simple you win the match by hanging from the rope and attempt to reach an object that's high above in the middle of the ring. The first one involved Matt Bentley, Frankie Kazarian, and Chris Sabin who was the X-Division champion. This match was a great way to showcase the X-Division and prove they were nothing like the Cruiserweights from WCW. This was an awesome match there was a lot of cool moments. His name was placed in history as the first winner of the Ultimate X match. I rate this match 10 out of 10

3. The Motor City Machineguns vs Beer Money

2 out of 3 Falls Match

TNA Impact 2010

The Motor City Machine Guns had a series of great matches with Beer Money. The Guns been together since 2007 and never had the opportunity to be World Tag Team Champions. They finally had their chance at Victory Road when the defeated Beer Money for the vacant Tag Titles. Following this match Beer Money got there rematch in a Best of Five Series which we saw lots of great matches. It culminated in a special TNA episode in a 2 out 3 Falls Match. This match and the feud in general had a 1980's Rock N' Roll Express vs Midnight Express similarities. These teams brought out the best in each other. In the end it was the Motor City Machine Guns who walked away with the gold and they achieve the notoriety they've been fighting for. I rate this match 10 out of 10

4. Sting vs Kurt Angle

Bound For Glory 2007

TNA World Heavyweight Championship

We were treated to a match between two of the all time greats Sting and Kurt Angle. There was so much anticipation for this match. TNA did a good job building this match up with incidents like Kurt attacking both Sting and his Son. This match was set in Atlanta, Georgia where Sting became a huge star in WCW so a lot was on the line for the Stinger. This was a very competitive match anytime these two hooked up in the ring expect a pure wrestling match. These two men gave it all in the ring but it was Sting who came out with his first TNA World Title. I rate this match 10 out of 10

5. AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels vs Samoa Joe

Unbreakable 2005

X-Division Title

This was definitely a 5 Star Match and its still the most talked about match in TNA. It was a 3 way for the X-Division title and it involved AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and the champion Christopher Daniels. This match had a lot of things technical wrestling, high flying, and wrestlers striving to be number 1. This match was interesting because Daniels beat Styles for the title 6 months earlier and Joe debuted in TNA. Joe was on an undefeated streak which made the match intriguing. Samoa Joe was the favorite to win but in the end it was AJ Styles who won the X-Division Title. I rate this match 10 out of 10
