On August 11, 1997 Shawn Michaels and Triple H formed D-generation X. DX was formed to help WWE during the ratings war with WCW. DX also included Chyna, Rick Rude, Billy Gunn, and Road Dogg, and X-Pac. DX reunited on and off again for the next couple years. The group finally retired in 2010 when Shawn Michaels retired.
